It will take a few seconds to have the Windows resolution adjusted automatically. Once your Windows machine has been restarted, the Windows resolution will be automatically adjusted to your computer resolution (in my case my Mac). Then click Install one more time and click Finish to Reboot now. This will install all the drivers needed to display Windows in full screen. This will load the drivers on the CD drive of your virtual machine and then display a popup. Then click on Devices -> Insert Guest Additions CD image. To do this, move your mouse to the top of the screen to display the menu. To fix the “black bars” issue and the screen being cut off, you need to install the VirtualBox Guest Additions. Installing the VirtualBox Guest Additions If you change the resolution to have it full screen you will still be missing some part of the screen. When you use the Windows in full screen on VirtualBox, it is still not full screen (you have black bars on the side). I've done another clean install - same story.To display Windows in full screen on VirtualBox, you will first need to install Windows on a virtual machine using VirtualBox. I've tried installing virtualbox-guest modules and utilities, rebopoting the VM several times. I would settle for just being able to use a rigid 1920x1080 resolution. I remeber being able to freely change the display resolution from the guest OS, some distros even talked to VirtualBVox and provided host integration out of the box. I've never had such a problem with other Linux distributions. Why does this happen? I've just tested this and the LiveDVD boot is also stuck, but on 1024x768.

If I change the resolution in Display Settings inside Mnajaro or using xrandr -s 640x480- it changes for a fraction of a second and then immediately changes back to 800圆00. The VirtualBox interface shows a greyed out list of display resolutions, and it's locked on 800圆00. The LiveDVD boot from ISO was fine, but now that I've installed the system on a VDI hard disk image - Manajro is stuck at 800圆00 display resolution: I've just installed manjaro-kde-18.1.5-191229-linux54 in VirtualBox 6.1 (running on Windows 10).
